Changes in SensationAnother potential complication of implant surgery is nerve damage, which can cause range of changes varies from intense sensitivity to no feeling in the nipple or breast following surgery. Changes in the nipple and breast sensation after implant surgery can be temporary or permanent. The feeling in the nipple and breast could be either increase or decrease on one or both side. The changes in sensation may affect the sexual response and the ability of nursing.

Treatment for Changes in Sensation
The over or under sensitive of breast and nipple usually resolve with time, and is not a problem. Normally it takes a year or 2 to heel. Most women get back most of the feeling sooner than that after the breast augmentation surgery.
