Hematoma

Hematoma is a localized collection of blood in the surgical area. This situation usually occurs within the first few days after surgery and the percentage of hematoma take place is around 1%-6%.

How to Decrease the Changes of Developing Hematoma
Avoid anything that contains aspirin or ibuprofen for at least a periods of 2 weeks prior to (and after) the breast implants surgery, unless prescribe by your surgeon to do otherwise.

Treatment for Hematoma
A tube is put in the breast to drain the blood. In the case where the collection of blood is small, the body will be able to clear hematoma on its own without any treatment needed.
