Necrosis is the formation of dead tissue / cell around the implants. The occurrence of necrosis may prevent the wound healing process, and resulting in permanent scars and abnormalities on patient breasts.

Factors contributed in  Necrosis

• infection

• use of steroids in the surgical pocket

• chemotherapy/radiation

• smoking

• excessive heat or cold therapy

Treatment for Necrosis
Surgical correction and/or implant removal.
